Deli style turkey sandwich
This lunch was extra on so many levels: still have leftover Christmas duck in the fridge 😬, I made the mayo for the coleslaw, I made the sourdough caraway rye bread, not to mention that I live in New York City and can easily just get @katzsdeli delivered.
But I’m on vacation and this was fun and tasty.
🦃 Turkey recipe* is @ciaosamin’s buttermilk brined roasted turkey on NYT Cooking 🥬 Coleslaw recipe on Serious Eats - don’t skip the purge 🍞 Rye bread is ~40% rye sourdough with about 5% caraway seeds
*Note to self - I used 33 grams of salt and brined for ~36 hours - would go less salt and/or shorter brine next time.
