Homemade chicken stock
One way I’m staying positive is making my apartment smell good with homemade chicken stock.
Have you tried making stock before?
It’s time consuming but not difficult, and a great thing to try if you’re working from home. It’s one of those things that (in my opinion) is well worth the effort.
I keep a bag of scraps in the freezer until it’s full and/or I need more stock. It’s an excellent way to make use of chicken bones, onion ends, garlic hulls, celery leaves, carrot shavings, and any other vegetable scrap you accumulate. 🥕🧄🧅
I’ll add in herbs like parsley and thyme if I have them and season with peppercorn and bay leaves. Cover with water and cook everything down for a few hours then strain out the solids and freeze.
