Vegetarian cornish pasties
Cornish style vegetable pasties! These were popular where I grew up in Michigan - imported from Cornwall to the copper mines of the Upper Peninsula. Great way to use up odds and ends from the back of the fridge.
These have potato, leek, carrot, broccoli stem, and wild rice. Par-cooked the filling with some stock and cream for richness. There’s a recipe for the crust from King Arthur Baking that I love!
